"The Confluence of Regional Art History and New Art" has resonated as a profound humanistic pursuit within AAmA since its very genesis. We posit that this discourse transcends the linear trajectory of mere "progress," emerging instead as a vital response to our contemporary immersion within a global epoch defined by visual culture. Indeed, images, particularly those of the digital realm, are rapidly ascending to supplant literary symbols as the primary, shared instruments of cognition and communication for modern individuals. Consequently, the historical study of visual culture exerts a far-reaching and transformative influence on the very future of digital imagery. More precisely, the intertwined disciplines of regional art history and archaeology have elevated the study of digital images to an unprecedentedly pivotal position. The present investigation into visual imagery endeavors to interpret the entirety of human-created visual artifacts as both echoes of the past and expressions of the present, thereby fostering a holistic comprehension of material culture as an indivisible whole. Human visual images are not born of mere chance; rather, they are the intricate products of a dynamic interplay between creators and their distinct regional milieus. To truly apprehend their material dimensions and social contexts, a nuanced understanding of their inherent function and visual resonance is paramount. Regional history and art, through their diverse and illuminating perspectives, unveil this intricate process of creation and interaction, guiding us to grasp the specific facets of visual imagery—how artists transmute ephemeral ways of seeing and deeply felt spatial experiences into tangible and enduringly potent images. These images, in their turn, sculpt our very worldview, that internal lens through which we observe and comprehend the world, enabling a more profound self-awareness and a richer understanding of our place within the encompassing external realm. The history of regional arts and the emergence of new art forms constitute inherently "symbiotic disciplines." The very act of tracing the lineage of regional art serves the profound purpose of rekindling the vital connection between the human spirit and the annals of the past through these tangible relics. Crucially, this endeavor entails the recovery of invaluable intellectual and spiritual concepts that have, over time, receded from immediate consciousness—the very essence of what we might term the "spiritual realm." Individual acts of creativity and invention are invariably predicated upon the collective traditions of a society and the deeply rooted cultural and historical foundations upon which it stands; they are never isolated, singular occurrences, but rather emerge from a rich and complex tapestry of shared human experience. Disciplines and art take us into a new era, and the AAMA International Exhibition 2025 is strongly supported by the Hungarian Association of Digital Arts, which has included the most cutting-edge digital art in the AAMA International Exhibition, thanks to President Ágnes HAász, the founder of the International Exhibition of Digital Arts, and thanks to the team of the Digital Arts Committee of the Association, whose projects and research results have reached the world's top level, the exhibition is being held for the first time in Hangzhou, China, and will be an important topic in our art field. The 2025 AAmA International Art Exhibition has garnered an unprecedented level of collaboration from national arts institutions across the globe, marking a significant milestone in our collective journey. We extend our deepest gratitude to the artists and curators worldwide whose unwavering support has brought the diverse local arts of myriad regions into vibrant and novel vistas. Let us, therefore, unite in our commitment to artistic symbiosis, thereby forging a more luminous and culturally enriched future for all.
