4th International Digital Art Triennial Symbiosis 2025 - China; Hungary

Symbiosis has been part of our existence from the very beginning—a defining element of our lives that influences every aspect of our being and guarantees our survival. In this context, it also appears in the realm of visual arts, embodying themes of coexistence, mutual influence, and interdependence. The exhibition Symbiosis presents works that offer potential answers to our questions—answers that transcend conventional boundaries. In examining the pieces on display, I wish to highlight several key directions. However, it is important to note that these works were not created in a traditional, familiar, or classical manner. Instead, they were produced by innovative, experimental artists who ingeniously explore modern inventions using electronic-digital tools, computers, graphic software, and other technologies. During the creative process, a unique relationship develops between the artist and the computer—viewed as a creative collaborator. This partnership is characterized by great freedom, allowing creativity to reveal an immeasurable array of forms and colors, thereby enhancing artistic expression. The emphasis is not on the tools themselves but on the effects they produce, which have established a new visual culture and imagery. This fresh perspective demands a high level of receptivity and openness not only from visitors and viewers, but also from the art community as a whole. The rich themes of the works explore the relationships between nature, the environment, and humanity, as well as various environmental challenges, thereby highlighting the symbiosis between nature and mankind.
