International symposium on the Nexus of Textil and Sound with invited participants.
MOME Innovation Center's Material Research Hub - Judit Eszter Kárpáti DLA and Esteban de la Torre were invited to take part in and present at the Nexus of Textile and Sound Symposium, FWF Austrian Science Fund Programme for Arts-based Research, March 15-18, Linz, Austria. They presented their artistic research project, Multisensory Textile Innovation, focusing on the research and development of new augmented materials, and soft interfaces to produce an intuitive, non-intrusive platform between digital environments and the physical world. Among presenting invitees were Manuela Naveau former head of Ars Electronica Export, head of Interface Culture Department at the University of Arts Linz, Enrique Tomas from the Tangible Music Lab, Thomas Grill head of ELAK, Vienna (Electroacoustic and Experimental Music at the University of Performing Arts), Patrick Lechner from FH St.Pölten, and Marianna Obrist, University College London.
